July 2012: Art exhibition is a British feast for the eyes

We are delighted to announce the beginning of our What Makes Britain Great art exhibition today (30 July) in the Ian Johnson Suite. Several Buckinghamshire artists were selected to display their interpretation of Great Britain and its iconic landscapes, themes, people and places that inspire their art.

From Windsor Castle to the City of London; ice cream cones and cow-filled fields; Olympic athletes and Ascot Races; music icons Sir Paul McCartney and David Bowie; the exhibition shows a breadth of British themes across a diverse range of mediums.

The talented artists exhibiting each have their own story to tell about their passion for art and you can learn about them and their pieces by visiting our dedicated blog for our featured exhibitions.

Marketing manager, Samantha Howe, commented:

"We are very grateful to all the artists who submitted their pieces for consideration – the quality of art we had to choose from is a real testament to the local talent housed in Bucks. We are sure that clients and visitors to the Suite will enjoy soaking up the British atmosphere radiating from Collins House."
The exhibition will run until Friday 26 October and until then all the art on display is available to purchase during your visit.
